There’s just something about Valentine’s Day that makes a person feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Sure we focus on this being the day to celebrate love between significant others but over the ages it has come to encompass more than just that.

I don’t get them much really… but we make layered cookie bars every year and we stuff them in decorated glass jars to hand out to friends and family! We also make old school handmade valentines!

I usually give a book or DVD. Last year I gave my daughter “A Charlie Brown Valentine” DVD and the year before a book called “Happy Valentines Day, Mouse.” Now that I have too, it will probably be a book or DVD my girls can share. After all, Valentine’s Day is all about love so what better way to teach love than to share with each other

Usually candy, a small flower and some small trinket that says I love you
We have an annual Valentines Day party with all of our friends. We usually turn a love verse of the Bile into a craft and share it with our friends. That’s our gift to our kid and it teaches them to share Jesus in unique ways while having fun. A party with a purpose, showing the ultimate love. God’s love.

my kids are grown now but when they were kids I gave them small heart chocolates and conversational heart candies. I usually made a heart shaped cake for our desert. I give our girls outfits I make and then this year I have made a big envelope and for every day of Feb until the 14th once a day they get a small gift or candy and a card from us they find in this envelope that hangs on their bed post.
