One of our favorite restaurants (family consensus!) to dine at is definitely Olive Garden.
The rich Italian flavors coupled with mountains of shredded cheese is hard to say no to.

And if you’re like my family, we skip doing the kids meals and share our portions with our two because they prefer what the big people get anyways!
But what if you’re trying to watch those extra calories and do away with the whole nine yards while dining out?
Eating Lighter
Did you know that a recent survey shows that 36 percent of U.S. adults would rather give up social media, TV and/or their cell phone for one month than go on a diet.
Seriously?
Wow!
But back to our Olive Garden conversation…
To eat there, yet watch those calories, do you feel your only solution is to stick to eating a salad while everyone else enjoys a hearty Italian meal?
Au contraire, my friend!
Some smart man in the Olive Garden kitchens, decided to whip up a Lighter Fare menu, that boasts of every entree staying below that 575 calories limit.
So yes, you can eat lighter at Olive Garden!
(The Lasagna Primavera is a definite recommendation, when you go.)
But I’m curious…
Would you prefer to give up social media or go on a diet?

Give up social media? Never! Dieting has come a long way since cabbage soup and grapefruit – I’d rather diet any day!

For sure!
Btw…Cabbage soup??!!! Eeyyyeeeew, seriously?
I love seeing big chain restaurants move towards a healthier menu, my favorite food there is their alfredo sauce, I love it so much I figured out how to make it at home since I don’t have an OG near me here in Boston!
Ooo I big puffy red heart Olive Garden. I see getting healthier as a lifestyle change not a “diet” and I completed 6 months with Shaklee 180 as a blogger on social media so I don’t think I could give up either.

I’d much rather change my eating habits than give up social media/internet. We just ate at Olive Garden this week, and I wish I had checked out that lighter menu…I didn’t do so well on the low-calorie deal!
