Re-united with an old love…Merci Chocolates!

My parents always had impeccable taste in chocolates. At a young age, my sister and I were introduced to the creamy, milk chocolate goodness of European chocolates.

The result?…

Loyalty!

After moving to the U.S., I have to admit I was anything but a fan of the available milk chocolate. To me it all tasted more dark than milk, so when I was told Merci Chocolates were being introduced to the market I was thrilled.

It may sound crazy but having a chocolate you grew up eating finally land on your doorstep, is nothing short of pure bliss!

But until I tore open a wrapper and bit into a chocolate finger, I was not convinced.

It only took a bite…

a single bite…

and it happened…

I was finally reunited with an old love…

one of my childhood choco-favorite’s…

Merci Chocolates!

These are available at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, World Market and even Amazon.

Each box comes packed with 7 flavors

My favorites?

Hazelnut and praline.

Oh and contrary to what most people believe, these aren’t very expensive. You can grab a box for as low as 5.50 US$!

I had no idea these werent popular in US! Not my faves but I do like the hazelnut ones. I can relate to missing sth out that you used to know from your childhood…To me it was not chocolate but my mum’s cooking skills which I did not get in my genes! :)
