Close Encounters of the Long Necked Kind, at the Dallas Zoo, was fun.
But on hindsight…
is it just me or does that giraffe seem intimidatingly huge?
Join me in linking up your photograph(s) for the week with
and feel free to add your photographs to our Wordless Wednesday linky too!

How awesome is that. We love giraffes!

Oh wow. I would have been a little nervous to get that close. But that is a great pic!
This Mama WAS nervous. Thus the enthusiastic volunteering to take pics!

My niece is kind of scared of feeding “the big animals”. And that’s funny cause it includes also cats. Dogs are ok to feed but cats not so much. I mean whaaat?
Ha ha…kids!
The giraffe is just tall – he doesn’t have a big mouth!
Did you get to see his tongue, though?! I bet the kids had a blast!

Ha ha!! Right!
Wish I’d taken a pic of the looooooooooooong tongue though. Dottie got a nice lick. (Bleugh!)
Yeah they are pretty huge! But they seem very graceful and kind still.

My daughter got a big kick out of feeding the giraffes cabbage leaves and crackers when we visited the Dallas Zoo during the Family Travel Conference.
