The 30 Day Giving Challenge begins today! Will you join us?

30-Day Giving Challenge

November is by far, one of my most favorite months of the year.

Since the past 2 years, my family has been joining families around the blogosphere to participate in the 30 Day Giving Challenge.

In 2010, when we first decided we wanted to try it out we didn’t think a month of giving would have a very strong impact on our family. My daughter, who was then 4, insisted we had to do this every year…

God had planted the joy of giving in such a special way.

The following year, even as we slowly moved through September, Bunny girl was already getting excited just thinking about 2011′s 30 Day Giving Challenge.

By the LORD’s grace we gave.

And in return He blessed us abundantly…

with much joy and as always, providence for all we need…

and more!

This year, there’s a  bubbling within me, that I recognize from prior years.

I can’t wait to begin.

Why do I encourage you to join our family and others on the 30 Day  Giving Challenge?

Mainly because we are called to be Christ’s Hands and Feet in this hurting world. If we see a person in need and have the means to provide for that need, we need to give.

And there is a joy in giving.

When you embark on this challenge as a family, you will see how God move not just in your heart, but that of the youngest members in your family… to the oldest.

I can guarantee that this will become an annual family tradition!

And in this ever so materialistic world, wouldn’t you as a parent want your child to have a heart that cares?

I can barely make ends meet. How can I give?

You don’t have to give in the thousands. Every penny counts. If you can spare a little give. You don’t know what a blessing your dollar can be to a starving, malnourished child on the other side of the world.

And rest assured, when you give with all your heart, the LORD will provide for your every need. (But let that not be the motive for your giving.)

Also remember that giving does not necessarily mean financial donations only.

You can also give in kind…

A sweater you may have no use for, can be a big blessing for that homeless man down the street in rags. The gifts and talents you’ve been blessed with can be used to help a child, college student and/or adult.

(Matthew 25:34-45)
