When you walk into Zoes Kitchen the first thing that hits you is a scintillating aroma of spice infused, homey cooking.
(Honestly if you close your eyes you’d think you were walking into Grandma’s kitchen.)
Reality hits you when you stand at the counter and look up at the menu.
Oh.My.Goodness!
At that very moment in time, gluttonous pangs overtake all rational senses and if you could, you would order everything off that menu because it all looks…
and sounds absolutely satisfying!
To save ourselves from the torture of having to choose favorites, we asked the sweet lady at the counter to suggest our entrees. I’m so glad we did because we got some killer food sent to our table!
Allow my photographs to do the talking…
Steak Kabobs
Two steak kabobs, red bell peppers, onions, grilled potatoes, roasted vegetables
paired with a Greek Salad that just has to be eaten with generous drizzles of Zoes Greek Salad Dressing.
Chicken Kabobs a.k.a. Zoes favorite
Two kabobs, grilled peppers and onions, tomato, rice pilaf, side greek salad
and
Chicken Pita Pizza
Feta, fresh basil, marinara
To wash down everything, we grabbed some ice tea, while the kids picked up some chocolate milk.
And for dessert I could not but help levitating towards the humongous chocolate chip chunks in Zoes popular cookies.
Why do you need to add Zoes Kitchen to your list of must try restaurants?
For 3 reasons…
1. The main being the food is delicious and worth every penny shelled out and more! (You know quality when you taste it!)
I love that it truly is a fusion of Mediterranean cooking and comfort food for the tummy, South cooking…
and is 100% fresh.
If my 6 year old could turn around and say we had to visit Zoes each time we were up in San Antonio, you know the food is worth sampling!
2. The restaurant is very kid friendly, casual and the ambiance with the bright colors and natural light surrounds, make this a fun place to bookmark for the family. (Yes even if you have noisy, little ones who prefer to wiggle and dance off their seats at restaurants.)
3. I also love supporting companies that give back…
and Zoes does just that.
I’m counting down to hear when we’ll have a Zoes Kitchen opening in our city (Rumor has it that this should be very soon…yay!)
But till then, we’ll just be content frequenting the one at Lincoln Heights, San Antonio, each time we’re up at the city!!
