I have to confess that I’m ever so picky when it comes to shopping for dresses to wear.
My perfect dress has to be tasteful, flattering yet modest, unique, non gaudy and complimentary in every way.
Oh and did I add affordable too?
It isn’t easy to find something that meets all my set requirements unless I get my dresses custom-made. And everyone knows what a pretty price tag a custom made dress comes with!
Unless ofcourse it’s a pre-designed dress that’s custom-made to my frame’s needs!!

With that there’s good news and bad news…
The bad news is that my order went through later than the rest, so you missed the opportunity to win a collection for yourself.

What did I pick?
While looking through the different dresses, I fell in love with the Fifties Colorblock Dress.
It had nostalgia written all over it and screamed “Perfect” in response to all my dress requirements!
And true to their guarantee, I was not disappointed.
As soon as I slipped the dress over my head and had it rest on my frame, I felt like a giddy-headed, young girl!
Blame it on the flared pleats and swish-sway movement with each step I take!!
I love the fabric and the fact that my tag says that it’s “Made in India”…
just gives me such a comforting feel to know I’m wearing a creation made with love…
from home!
What makes this dress a winner for this Mama is that it is so easy to manage especially with the kids… on the move.
It doesn’t look like a sloppy Mommy sack. It’s chic!…
It’s modest and elegant for church, dressy for a party and smart-casual enough for a formal brunch.
On fault of my own, I did specify measurements a tad bit larger than what I am, in fear that I’d receive a dress that was too tight. So yes, the dress is a little roomy waist up but not in an obvious, glaring, way.
But hey! I’m not complaining…
I love my fifties piece!!
