I’m so sorry Rachel. We lost our family lab (back home) of 8 odd years 2 weeks ago. My 6 yr old is crazy about her and we’ve still not been able to break the news to her. We’ve just told her she’s seriously ill and not getting better.
It’s so hard and losing a precious pet IS like losing a best friend.
I pray for strength and comfort to surround you.
