With summer rolling on by, I’m sure you must have heard the teen mutter, atleast once, that he/she is bored.
Well thanks to DoSomething.org, the nation’s largest organization for teens and social change, a little spice can be added to your teen’s summer.
.
DoSomething.org has partnered with Lenovo, the world’s second largest PC maker who helped found the campaign last year, and Bing, the search engine from Microsoft, to launch “The Hunt: 11 Days of Doing.”
.
.
So, what does this have to do with my teen?
.
Your teen can join The Hunt or sign up for free, with a group of friends and complete THREE challenges every day, for 11 days.
The Hunt started on July the 10th, 2012 and each challenge takes an hour to complete.
.
.
After each challenge is completed, your teen or his/her team would need to report the same. This may be done via text or the web, to get points for the same.
.
.
The motivation for doing this?
.
The opportunity to feel good, by giving back…
and the possibility of winning these sweet prizes:
.
.
This is such a fantastic campaign….
a great way to keep the older kids productively busy…
and encourage them to give back in more ways than one.
.
Remember it isn’t too late to join in the fun!
Even though the campaign kicked off on July the 10th, it runs through all the way till the 20th of July, 2012.
.
And you don’t have to limit yourself to doing the day’s challenges alone. You can play catch up with the ones you missed before the July 23, 2012 midnight (EST) reporting deadline.
.
.
*My family will be working on three challenges a day, over the next 2 days. I can’t wait to see how it all turns out. Make sure you check back on the day’s posts to read our report!*
.
