When I had Bunny Boo, I had a countless number of Moms tell me that I was in for a whole new adventure. They warned me that boys progress a tad bit slower on their milestones. This meant that everything, including potty training, would be a new challenge.
Thankfully I can sit back and wag my head at what I’d been told.
Contrary to speculation, Bunny Boo (who turned 2 in May, this year) has embraced the potty training process like pro.
All thanks goes to his big sister, the person he loves to emulate.

We haven’t mastered the art yet. We have the occasional accidents. But we are getting there!
But all kids aren’t Potty Training savvy. For some it’s harder than the rest. So if you are that frustrated parent… chin up! Huggies has a lion’s share of ideas.

The key to successful potty training is consistency.

It’s always harder for a child when he has to remember to use the potty and not his Pull-Ups when…
- he’s outdoors
- busy playing with friends
- having way too much fun or
- taking a nap

If that wasn’t cool enough, maybe a phone call will do the trick?…

And ofcourse stickers, little treats and rewards go a long way.

Always keep an eye out. They may say they don’t have to go but that dance says it all. Also try to keep them in underwear if you are at home. It will make them less dependant on pull ups or diapers

My potty training tip is wait for your child to show signs of being ready, like stating that they don’t like being in a dirty diaper, disliking wearing diapers, etc. I think every child is different, but for mine, waiting until they were ready made the whole process easier and faster.

My potty training tip is to let the child learn at their own pace. Give them the knowledge they need and encourage them. Don’t push them or pressure them or it could make them not want to use the potty for even longer. They will let you know when they’re ready.

My potty training tip is to encourage! We put a paper on our bathroom wall for them to put stickers on every time they went and we made a HUGE deal about it!

My potty training tip is to keep it positive. Accidents happen, but the pressure of having one can ruin the experience.
My tip, lots of patience and don’t force. They will train when ready. Lots of little rewards help too.
