We usually dont do much for each other as hubby and wife, but about 10 years back we decided to take our kids out for Valentines Day and buy them small gifts instead of us gifting each other things. We went to a great Mexican restaurant where they had musicians walking from table to table and singing. The kids got to tip them and it was the MOST fun ever. They still talk about that night. Now we try to avoid the crowd ON Valentines Day and go the day ahead or after. The kids have learned that no matter how old, they will always be our Valentines!

I don’t have a special valentine, but I will make a date to take my mum out to lunch. For my 4-legged canine baby, I will buy a bone at the grocery as a special treat.

When me and my (now) fiance first met one of the first movies we watched together and realized we both loved was Titanic, so for V-day this year I got us screener passes to go see the 3-D remake of the movie! And on the 15th we’ll be bringing our daughter into the world! (unless she decides to be a cupid baby instead!)

When I was dating my now-husband back in high school, I borrowed his car keys and decorated the inside of his car with cutesy valentines window clings, and left a poem I had written for him in the drivers seat. He really liked that poem, but I bet he was a bit embarrassed by a car full of hearts and things!
