I recently found another Maternity and Nursing Online Boutique that doesn’t carry a whole bunch of clothes but just a select number of classy pieces for Expectant and Nursing Mommies.
Miravos manufactures their entire collection in New York city.
What makes the Miravos collection different is the fact that all their pieces are made from sustainable bamboo.
Here’s something I didn’t know-
Bamboo grows without pesticides and has a natural anti bacterial agent called Bamboo Kun which remains in the fabric even after 50 washes.
Bamboo fabrics used in Nursing shirts are thus more baby friendly and are also moisture absorbent and ventilated.
I was sent the lilac Hudson shirt to review and love the ruffled pleating effect that gathers when I wear the same.
I’m saving my shirt for after Bunny Boo arrives to serve as my Nursing shirt when we go out to more formal environments. I know this serves as a Maternity shirt too but it somehow it does not flatter me presently as Bunny Boo has grown considerably and with a nice big bump the shirt doesn’t look as great.
(If only this had come in 3 months ago, I’m sure it would’ve looked complimentary.)
If you’re more of a careful spender, I’d suggest going in for a Christie tank top or shirt.
The look is more casual but if you pair this with a dressy scarf or shawl you will perk up the overall look.
Price-wise it does work easier on the purse and the material is the same – sustainable bamboo.
(I have to add that bamboo has a soft, silky feel that assists the fabric in falling well on the body.)
